Scattered, battered torn in two. How can this be love? Love with bruises Just confuses the heart. Lost in the abyss of this savage. Blackness rages on. Love him, believe him redeem his soul that you constantly take another hit from. Atonement again from his deepest sins, yet painfully you keep getting ,never leaving but appeasing him more. You really love him Oh so much, he'll never ever do it again. Yet there as you look in the mirror the makeup doesn't hide the two black eyes Will it end? Or will he cleverly keep taking you apart bit by bit. The choice is yours but for me I wish you would not bore one more bruise, or broken bone You have taken more than anyone should ever have to. Love this is not So please don't suffer in this misery. |

Some desperately hold on to the slightest shred of caring...yet how can the other person care for someone that they are slowly but surely destroying physically and mentally...when you care for someone you want to see the best for them...James |

the question that I often ask is why yet again? Why is it that these women stay with these guys that continuously beat on them?This I don't know but I will pray that someday they will find the answers. |

Rosebud - I agree with you completely. Love is a very powerful emotion, that sometimes seems to feed on pain and fear. You addressed this very well. |

thx lngjhn, I guess this came to mind when I hear of how often women will tell me, this happens and I hope that they will understand there is no love in this at all.Again should never happen. |

I agree with Marge...one time is too many..but your question as to why some stay..its that the spouse has made them lose all their friends, family...and have no one to depend on for help...and has made them so insecure that they don't think they can make it on their own...take someone strong like myself..not physically abused..but lack of attention and verbal and made to feel unloved is painful too...I held out 3 years with hope for change..and knowing until forced I was too weak to make it on my own...embarassment, depression, denial and guilt are all parts of it..so the only thing one can do is be a friend to someone who needs it and support them to build up their confidences that they are better off without that person in their life. didn't mean to say so much..but has been on my mind lately... ~~soft smiles Maureen |

Your so right there are many kind of abuses, verbal abuse and emotional abuse go hand in hand they play on your emotions until your drained dry without a word to say. Sometimes when were staring it right in the face it's still the same reply not me. So you are so right I think everyone has suffered some form of abuse along the way, physical, mentally,emotionally all can be devastating. I wish you sunshine and many blessings. |
