Liaison Mi `Amour
~*Marge Tindal*~

'neath mossy covered arbor
under glowing orb of night
Liaison Mi `Amour
ever seemed so right

Arms of gentle rapture
hold this loved one near
Love in diminutive kisses
Starlit ceiling sparkles clear

Too soon the early dawn comes peeking
other lives now seeking
No more will we be speaking
long into the night

Partings of the heart
brings sorrow with the light
Mi `Amour - Mi `Amour
Ce sentiment d'abandon
Que la nuit tombe tôt !

That feeling of desertion
How early falls the night !

Very beautifully done, Marge! Love the touches of French too even though I don't understand most of it!

I will have to agree with Denise...VERY beautiful, but my French is not up to snuff...but a language of romance is what it is and your poem here is "tres" romantic in an almost sad way...(going back to read again)

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

Sigh... French, so beautiful. I love French!(can't understand a word of it, but still beautiful!) This is a wonderful piece, Marge. Another jewel from you, my friend.

PS- Did I say I loved the French???

Just beautiful, Marge...a rendezvous of love and longing, and you've composed it so tenderly.

Denise~
Thanks for enjoying it.
I use very little of my French as it
doesn't go quite as well with this southern accent.

MarkB~
Thank you, kind sir.
You're pretty special.

Kit~
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it.

Sonjes~
I would have to join hands with you, Denise
and LoveBug on the French.
Certain phrases are a delightful inspiration to me.
*Last two English lines = Last two French lines.

LoveBug~
I'm convinced - You LOVE French !!

Menage~
Thank you for the 'marvellous' !

Claire~
I so appreciate you.

Marge --the whole piece is romantically beautiful..and written as only you can...but somehow that French just capped it off, even though I didn't understand it.

adieu mon ami

Karilea~
Thanks for the delightful thoughts.

Martie~
Thanks, love.
I wish I had the opportunity to use it more.
I don't ... but do enjoy certain phrases.

XAngel~
Thank you ...
I don't know about 'masterpiece' ..
but will concede 'romantic'.

The lover's 'lack in French' is more
the author's lack of a command of the language...
the 'heat' burns as hot in Braille ! !

Thank you for the wonderful response.
You do French good enough for both of us !
I shall remember that if I need help.

Beautifully written Marge.
I knew there was some reason I took two years of French in high school... so I could read this wonderful poem...
and French with a Kansas accent sounds worse than with a southern accent...

Querido Marge,
I would have to really brush up on my Spanish to finish writing this message in the only foreign language I know.   I'll do us both a favor and use English.  Who knows what I would come up with in Spanish...LOL!
I love this poem.  The mood you create, the parting...I felt it.

Marge,

You have a gift...this is so lovely.  French?  Nope, I don't speak a word.  I can barely manage my Southern drawl.  By the way, Poppie is on the way back...With Poppie's help Claire and I composed "His Elusive Muse."  Camilla left a bit later but should be there pretty soon.  She helped me out on "Embrace of the Sea."  They were such a big help and I do appreciate you sending them.  Take care, my friend.  Your poetry is such a pleasure to read, and a high point in my day.
