Evermore

To footed tub she stole,
where clouds of steam arose.
There adding fragrant oils,
then rose petals of all color,
she rained from basket high,
that soon laid carpet upon bath water.
Smiling to herself as she viewed,
nodding, pleased with the result.
Her robe, she then loosed to floor,
then from slippers, stepped she into tub,
testing first the water's heat, daintily with toe.
Satisfied, both feet she planted firm,
then slowly descended to cistern's depth.
There to recline, immersed in attar of rose.
Thoughts turned to well laid plans, soon to unfold.
So occupying her sojourn, with visions of his seduce.
Drifting, dreaming in her sea of fragrant calm,
until the sound of closing door, did stir her from her trance.
Clearing mind, she smiled, as footsteps counted out each stair.
Then came a light rap upon the door, "I'm home.", came his greet.
"Yes, you are.", her sweet voice replied, "I'll be right out."
Slowly she rose, as petals soft, clung upon her wet, silken skin.
Moving to mirrors view, she delighted in her handiwork,
turning this way, then that way, admiring her gown of petals.
Then gliding through bedroom door, quietly she stopped and waited.
Facing away, he finished emptying pockets upon a dresser top.
Upon turning, he froze with such a stunned and goofy look.
Her sweet, alluring smile, broke to grin, as she asked, "Well?"
He somehow managed not to fall or trip, as he moved to her.
Lost in her gaze, he somehow spoke, "Oh darling, I love you."
She led him to the bedside, and helped him from his clothes.
His eyes never left her beauty,
as he knelt down before her,
then gently took her face in hands,
pulling her close, he softly spoke,
"Always have I truly loved you,"
"and always, shall I."
"You are as beautiful as the day we met,"
"and shall  you be, always yet."
They kissed, embraced,
loved, and shared.
Both so full of care.
Always to be as one, each day and evermore.

I think we need one big collective sigh from all the ladies for this wonderful poem that has been rushed into our midst...
  Breathtaking!

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.
