~Bridge Of Love~

Hold a memory ... touch a photograph ...
this love still remains ... golden engraved epitaph.

A bridge to be built ... to cross to the other side ...
on either shore an angel waits ... arms open wide.

To kiss sweet fate ... to dance with destiny,
On a wing and prayer ... a soul to set free.

Winds of change ... sands of time,
hear this prayer ... read this rhyme.

Always here ... see me where in I stand ...
by the waters edge ... heart in hand.

Janet Marie

****************

~An Angels Love~

To be your one true angel,
to be your guiding light ...
To wrap wings of forgiving love around you,
and give comfort on those long, lonely nights.
To heal your pain and finally set you free ...
to spare you of this such unfair suffering.

~If only this angel ... I could truly be.~

If I could take your sorrow,
I'd gladly cry those tears for you.
If I could lift your burdens...
I'd carry the weight that nearly breaks you in two.

~If I were truly an angel ... all these things I could then do.~

But, baby...I'm no angel ...
I'm only a woman in love.
I posses no special powers,
just belief and faith ...
in the light that shines from above.

So if that makes me an angel,
from your point of view ...
I'll accept and then return ...
the love you give,
~as you are my hearts angel too.~

Janet Marie

for DeVante' with love,
my angel, my guiding light ... always

To all my fellow poets,
I am currently having computer problems,
Im not sure if it is my PC or my server,
but at this time it is nearly impossible to post and reply
without losing my connection or
each thread taking triple the time to load.
(Is anyone else having this problem??)
I have tried to do a few replies in here today and it has taken hours,
please know I am in here reading all your words that I adore and crave so
even if I am unable to reply to as many as I normally do.
I hope to be back on track soon.
As of now E-mail is working ... I'm holding my breath...
my computer is an old tired poet.
take care
love ya all

Truly beautiful JM, but I've learned to expect that from you.  Wonderful poet you are and I would have missed a lot had I not been able to read your words.

Oh Janet Marie ... two treasures within this wonderful post! Sigh ... romance is running high in these poems, with such beautiful and tender thoughts of love. Your heart is not only in your hand my dear ... it flows beautifully from your pen!

PS ... I'm not having troubles posting or replying JM ... hope it clears up for you ... I'd be in withdrawal if I didn't see a few later-gators!!!

Best wishes,
/Kit

These poems that you have written for DeVante are always of your best work.  He must truly bring out the best in you.  A muse while on Earth and now an Angel muse sent from heaven.  I think he must smile with every poem you post.  You are very lucky Jan.

The picture......the words.....the love....
Together they make for a stunning tribute,
I know what today means....and I know that
no matter where he is...he's with you,
holding you and watching over you because
his love shines though every poem you
write.  **AW hugs** and **BF kisses** my
sweet SS.  Love ya!!

This is so lovely, so full of love and tenderness. I love how you hold back nothing and give everything. You truly have a beautiful heart. He will be forever changed by the love you gave, the love you give......you are in his heart forever.

Take Care

Janet these works are truly beautiful like all of your words of love that you have written from the heart. I've become accustomed to the sincere honestly that flows from the uninhibited open well of your heart.

You are the angel you describe here and I'm certainly not the only one that thinks that way.........keep writing to us dear genuine poet.

Sorry to hear about your computer, hope you can get it fixed soon....your poet friend .. ethome

JM-The love you show in these two poems confirm that the love itself had to have been kissed by angels from the beginning.  You are and were the love that he left with in his heart and that was a gift from above.  Your words combined with the beautiful graphic make the perfect celebration of him.  Smiles and hugs to you.

later-angel kissed-gator.

JM, these are beautiful pieces. Thank you for re-posting them. I never got to see them before, so I'm really glad to see them now!
