You seem so strange to me,
a apple of temptation,
a reflection of my darkest
secrets, you have prised open
Pandora's box but I safely resting here.
This brutal touch you spoke of
has me entranced, I want to experience
nakedness and fear, progress
to a womb state in a garden of wolves,
they will prey on me but never to kill.

You seem so distant,
yet so close each word draws us deeper,
and this game we are playing
will it strip us of our chains,
bind us together
or strangle us in extremity?
You have spoken of words unknown
spun by darkest desires,
I may defy God
but I will defy myself
into submission?

You hold out your hands
a poison apple in one palm
and the searing truth in the other.
The price of life is death
and pleasure is pain,
Christ will verify to this accord.
Within these boundaries it is easy
to lash out, spit kick and bleed.
Within hidden confides the safety net is loaded,
but when these times are whipped away
Will we still dare to asphyxiate
in the chains of deep thorn caresses?
What crimson crimes lie in the new dawn rising?

Brian, What thoughts you exhibit here in this poem, I am blown away. Great job you are a very excellent writer being able to make the reader grasp what you are saying and bring them to wonder about it all at the end. Fabulous way to make an impression

Brian, you are truly magnificent in your writing skills... the images just seem to belong to you... and you just know how much images mean to me...
Life is a metaphor and you, my friend, seem to be an ever-radiant, exuberant, brave, et al, explorer...

regards,
sudhir
