until i died, i never knew your beauty, earth. you clothe yourself in trees and water, sprinkle souls like jade on a stone walk glistening in sunny rain. it's a shame i couldn't live again. until i died, i was remade (with pieces missing). i miss your gentle insisting that i will make you move. some time has gone. i cannot retrieve the burned chalk from the rising fire. kiss me, liar, and i will wear your rings, and your distant exclamations of grief. i'm your relief. |

Mike, an intriguing piece...one that just "sounds" so good read aloud, thanks to your subtle rhyme and gentle rhythmic lines. Your mind intrigues my own at times. ![]() ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Meadowmuse, Thanks. I wrote this on a tape cover to a friend for no real reason. Hence the title. It works though, despite itself. W.Y., If Bill the Cat approves of something, I'm either doing really well or have left reality entirely. S'en, Let the nagging begin! ![]() Mike |
