It was your beauty that first caught my eye The elegant way which you managed To stand out from all others It was your strength that stole my heart Within you I felt comfort and pride Like I have never felt with another And you were mine at a price I was willing to pay. And together we would walk, we would run, we would play. We were called... Inseparable But time wore on and the inevitable had come Things were falling apart I was left only helpless Oh, I would use tape, glue or nails if it would hold How my heart aches Sorrow, now worn on my face Hopeless, helpless, a division of destinies Despite my love and desire for you Oh my soul, my soul, my soles... It is time, I buy a new pair of shoes!! --In loving memory of my favorite pair of black platform shoes... who I regret to say... must now be retired. *S*< !signature--> -jaimie Website: www.ladysixstring.com [This message has been edited by ladysixstring (edited 08-23-2000).] |

LOL... I really do love those shoes. I've worn those shoes everyday all summer for the past two summers!!! But the super glue wouldn't hold and the electrical tape kept stretching and popping. -jaimie Website: www.ladysixstring.com |

Lady at first I thought you were speaking of some past relationships of mine...I have been guilty of looking at the outer beauty and neglecting the inner beauty...and so when my fascination with the outer beauty wore off the relationship lost its luster...I am desperately trying to connect with a womans inner beauty so new relationships will not be discarded like an old worn out pair of shoes...loved your write...James |

A very clever write, with a twist. I enjoyed this. (Please do not post my remarks on your website...I prefer to have my words stay here at Passions... thank you) ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
