Passion's Wake

Let passion be your guiding light,
To soar with me to greater heights.

Take hold my hand and follow me,
Dive in the realms of ecstasy;
Drink from the fountain of my soul,
To quench desire a thousand fold.

Light up my senses, each in turn,
To fan the flame within that burns;
Partake of me, this sweet delight,
Explore my depths within your sight.

With gentle gaze, caress my eyes,
As lips emit a wanton sigh;
Devour the nectar of my kiss,
To lose yourself in savored bliss.

Breathe in the scent that emanates,
While fervent drum beats resonate;
Give way to hunger deep within,
To light a fire upon my skin.

Surrender to my true desire,
As senses climb and hearts conspire;
Enrapture me in passion's wake,
As souls entwine to satiate.

  I bet your husband will grin all day long just thinking about what a beautiful gift you gave him!!!  Words stay in the heart longer than any material gift you could give! Beautiful writing here, but that is always the case with you, my friend!!

WOW! Kit, what a lucky guy, to have a fabulous poet and passionate lover, all rolled in one. That man has a smile on his face that won't quit, I'll bet a million on that! Love, Ellie

P.S. While I'm here I want to thank you for all your sweet responses to me!

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

What a sensual, loving poem. The fact that you get inspiration from you husband makes me smile. The coffee cup was a sweet gesture that will last his heart a lifetime. BUT, I am sure he is DIEING to get home to you to thank you. hehehehe

I loved this!  Especially that last stanza. Your words sing right off the page.  Beautiful rhyme, everything fits so lovely together.

There's absolutely nothing I can say that those above me haven't said -
Yet I had to respond
I envy your husband - I dream of being so loved - and so desired but more than that - having a wife/lover that is so talented
