In the winds of Cherokee song

you gotta read close..LOL....hope it makes sense.

Ante up

The touch...
one of anxieties and fears...
as we laid bets upon the table of love all of our beckoning desires.

Sweet caressing of lips entwined as eyes were met in gambling grace.  We pulled closer .....we embraced.....we dealt.

Cards of love and lust and ante's of hearts resting on the pits of passionate yearning from the depths of our souls.  An ace of hearts and one of clubs in hand of one being first bet of the night.  Discarding anxieties of spades and searching for the purity of diamonds in tenders of two with two of hearts kept in folded bluff.  Drawn hands shown to not as bets were placed within the casinos of love.

Lights of neon dancing on beads of sweet sweat as the dealt kiss was given over to one of chance.  Roulette wheels of swirls in breath were seeking tables of reddened breasts.  Pouted forth in addictive desire.....with chips of longing spinning within the simple round and rounds of dancing kisses.  Kiss of fate upon open red was placed.

Winner!!!!!........place your next bet!!

Winnings taken and set for the pits as two hearts of desire now burning in gaze.  Plumments and draws hurling  round and down.....golden glistening of eyes in lust now rolling the dice of dance.  Shakes with kisses of love tossed into winds of velvet greens.  A blow of fortune coming our way.  Dice up for grabs in spinning twirls of passion as anticipation awaits the long fall on pairs.  A three and a four is not needed here as the one and one of snake eyes will do.  Bets placed on lucky number two and with a pair of red cubes all fears are lost.  House is tossed one more winning loss and on to the slots we are sent.

Bandits of burnings with a single arm of force are spinning in eyes of impacted love.  One coin at first on a single line with two then three ...all lines now filled.  A cherry on one and now on two....hearts not breathing but gasping in ladies lust.  Three now settled and all are the same as gushes of winnings in rushes of gain come spewing forth into pockets of love's fame.

Time to rejoice in just one brief moment as chips are cashed into dreams of gold.  One more dollar and a single slot.......mmmmmmm.....what is one more time gonna hurt?

Ante up!!!!!

Mark Bohannan

Wow! Mark you really pulled an ace out of your sleeve, hit the jackpot and hit twenty one with this poem. Great work.

Hmmmm...My money is on you sir but ummm don't forget, while you gentleman may always have an ace up your sleeve, we have one somewhere else, lol. This is sizzling and this belle as she peeks over her newly dealt hand, must say she's quiet impressed.

I've oft thought of gambling as yet another vice,
but you go and place me here, it's rather really nice,
to think that in a diamond, I might find a King of Hearts,
hey wait! on that Roulette table, that's NOT the place to start!

hummm, back for another read, I do think I've misunderstood your real meaning!

Good stuff here!

Mark, very well written...

But to me this and all such forms of writings where long lines are told in continuous paragraph like lines are prosetic... but then I am a writer and a reader... and I loved each word of this piece of work ... prose or poetry, who cares?

sudhir

I learning everything you say makes sense...
be it poetry, prose, or simply saying my name.
beautiful imagery and emotions Mark,
as always..kissed with your sincerity
and sensuality.
both of which are your gifts...

Gemini-join in....wait til the heat passes before you jump in that cold shower....why waste water if you are coming back to play.
thank you much.

Martie-love is always a safe bet if it is played in the right game.  Problem is....there are no guarantees in love or game....that's why we are addicted to it.....chance...thank you kindly dear friend

JM-my gifts to you as you call them are simply the gifts of our true friendship that we both have worked on.  You know you are special to me and you know my heart.  Thank you so much my sweetness....hugs
