Two for Dinner

glimmer,
the candlight's glaze
hungry,
each moment, ablaze
rapacious,
delicious reflection
Heaven,
the fare of selection

Claire. . .

What's on the menu?

I think I have a wine that goes with that. . .

Simply wonderful my friend. . .

Hi Claire,
Well, now if you have that extra chair ready, and enough dinner for two, especially by candlelight, I'll be there. I am a little hungry tonight.

Meadowmuse:

What's wrong with everybody!!!!!  It is strawberries dipped in chocolate served with champagne served on a candlelit table as two lovers gaze into each other's eyes. Can't everybody see it??

James, you think??

Bill, dinner is still very warm...and the candles are still glowing. Bring your appetite

didi, yes...that and so much more...   Thank you for reading!

Robert, I enjoyed your tasteful reply. There are times when few words are needed, wouldn't you agree?

Corinne, thank you. I rather enjoyed that line too. This little piece just sort of fell together at a friend's invitation to an intimate dinner.

Denise, thanks so much for reading, and for the encouraging words.

You have captured my memory well.  A candlelit dinner for two when I arrived.  She had me thinking I was taking her out for fast food.  She pulled the wool over my eyes.  When I saw the table and the candles, man did I cry.  Thank you for the bringing that delightful night back to me.

This is the only kind of dinner, Is'nt it? lol.....I definatley see the "and so much more" you speak of. Grapes are good to, you see, you dip them in the chocolate and then feed them to your lover and he then has to lick the chocolate.......oooops, I forgot where I was, sorry.........hehehehe. Awsome mood here, I am likin it. Although, it makes me miss my souls love this eve.
