If I saw the world through a bird's eye view
Would I see the world more like you
Then would I know the reason why
The reason why
You make me cry

If I should turn the other cheek
Would you just laugh and call me weak
And if I turned and walked away
Would you throw
Your stones my way

If I wore your hat, your shirt, your shoes
If looked a little bit more like you
Then would you listen to my words
Or would you just
Make me hurt

If I saw the world through a bird's eye view
Then would I be as high as you
Then would you smile and let me in
Let me in
inside your skin

I have always found...where love is concerned....if we show our hurt...the other person looks upon us as weak and actually dispises the weakness in us...personal experiences...James

your poetry is very melodic... I've never been able to write songs that translate well without the music but you do it with ease...kudos to you Ladypoet..

Ladysixstring
"Bird's Eye View" was a very interesting title to this one.  Your verses just flowed as I read it. Very melodic and rhythmic.

Haleyja,  unfortunately, I don't have a picture of me and Honey together yet.  She's a Schecter TSH-1 Semi-Hollow Body Electric.  Oh, is she sweet!!  In fact, I never touch the others anymore.  Here's a link to her alone... http://www.ladysixstring.com/images/honey.jpg

wonderful verse and brings to passing all the loves that flare then bolt.  Slow giving in time with growing respect is always best.   loved it.

Wow, she is sweet, that is one nice looking guitar. I've never seen one around the shops I go to, but I think i'll keep an eye open now to check one out.
