Other World I lay in the stillness In the darkness of the night The surrounding blackness Engulfing me inside It’s velvety comfort Launching dreams Of candied clouds Of silk grasses Of diamond walkways Of glittering ponds Until the harsh cry of reality And intrusive rays of dawn’s sunlight Awaken me from my other world And carry me into another day. |

rosepetals25... This is one terrific poem! I hate to wake up from those great dreams, too! I really enjoyed reading this...good work! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Very nice. I would rather dream all day, than wake up from the happier place. Too bad it won't work that way. Enjoy this thought much. Catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |
