My heart continues to beat
Although I am not sure how
Even in bitter defeat
Amidst broken wedding vows

I have withstood the pain
Of watching it fall apart
Our love has been slain
The casualty is my heart

I tried with all my might
And did what I could
Today I give up the fight
It's time that I should

What could possibly be left
Here between two old friends?
Both of them are bereft
Is it a possibility to make amends?

The answer is not known
In the here and now
The distance had grown
I wish I knew why or how

Dark Angel,

Thank you my friend.  Not an easy one to do.  We must talk sometime soon.  Miss you!!  I have asked that question a million times.

LW

Heyyyy! Lone Wolf
Bleeding heart uh!  It's so understandable. Love is such a powerful emotion and when you lose it, it's heart-wrenching.  Exquisite poem.

My heart goes out to you friend LW. I like the way you expressed it in this piece...always helps to say such things aloud.  If I can help...

y'know...it's a funny thing...to even miss the battle...it's like playing tug of war, and when you suddenly drop the rope, your arms don't seem to know what to do...time, Jen, give it time...and love and hugs for you in the meantime...
