My Rainbow
- Jeff Osborne 2000

It’s been raining here for a long time
dark clouds that never finish crying their tears
Thought I was used to this downpour
this cold wind inside of me all these years
But lately I’ve noticed the sun peeking through
it’s light transforming into soft warm rain
I see blue skies playing hide and seek
Thunder can’t hide what this new wind is saying
Say you’ll be my rainbow at the end of this storm
Promise we’ll look for your pot of gold
Let your radiance wash the shadows away
Touch me with rays of light I can hold
Light up my heart with your sunshine smile
Kiss me with the scent of your breeze
as it cleanses my soul
as your love makes me whole
All of these things I ask of you
please

"my love is my motivation
my love is my inspiration
perception of this poem
is your interpretation"

JnR4eva,

Thanks for your compliments and your "welcome". Actually, I've been here for awhile, but I don't post near as often as I should (right, Tara?  )

Tara,

You are beautiful! Thank you for being my inspiration and my heart's dream come true.

This contains some of the loveliest thoughts.

'Thunder can’t hide what this new wind is saying'

WOW ... volumes spoken.
