Do not believe in sight that can decieve Discern instead from flight of make believe One path that still holds firm to guide you home As wind swept seeds take root in fertile loam Do not believe what holds allure complete For as the truth unfolds more oft' those sweet expectations will turn out to be soured control your tastes lest you would be devoured Do not believe false touch for it may lie a-bed and not do much when time is nigh The comfort you embrace may hold you back A ship with sails long furled in seas gone slack Do not believe those scents that waft your way Have come at no expense without decay There could be no new growth to bless the earth Be not too quick to judge what has true worth Do not believe these words though they appear To ring of truth obscured what is not clear Is how lest we indulge of all the five Can it truly be said we are alive |

You know, what continues to draw me to your work is the sense of subtle discovery that you allow ... this piece epitomizes just that. I enjoyed it very much. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Sooo PERFECTLY said! Wonderful writing. Sauni Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |

d, If only you were the one that was grading this piece , I might get a passing grade ! But I'm still not sure if this is what Jim described for the workshop , Guess I'll just have to stay tuned . Thanks ! Doc L Six, Glad you liked . Claire, I am humbly flattered . Succinctly you have hit on what keeps drawing me to write , as I am also discovering . Saunni, Thank you , my first attempt at a new form ( ave to wait until the votes are in )You are most kind . Doc |
