Psychedelic colors running through my angry head Visions of a woman and my lover in my bed Feel like I could die but I wish he were dead instead Psychedelic colors running through my angry head Echoes of her laughter piercing through my ringing ear Every step I take just leads me to my deepest fear I don't want to lose you but I sure don't want you here Echoes of her laughter piercing through my ringing ear I can hear the promises you whispered in the dark Intensify the images that tore my world apart You say nothing happened but it's just that you were caught I can hear the promises you whispered in the dark Don't speak to me in voices of apologetic tone Don't over estimate my need to have you for my own I won't be the door mat of your choice when you come home Don't speak to me in voices of apologetic tone So feel my passion, take my pleasure, give me pain I won't be the loser of your sick and twisted game Take my passion, feel my pleasure, share my sin My memory will haunt you I have crawled beneath your skin [This message has been edited by ladysixstring (edited 08-18-2000).] |

Wow! Just amazingly powerful. Write on..get out all that steam.. And thanks for reading my poem to your children. catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |

Thank you all! And to doreen peri... you have no idea how wonderful a complement... no... a thrill to hear that my words would inspire someone to "pick up their guitar". Then again, being a fellow musician, I'm sure you do know. Thank you!! -jaimie |

Very, very impressive! The obvious melody of the poem give it the perfect intensity it requires and the lyrics are very powerful...a keeper, for sure. |
