WHAT'S IN A WORD? < !signature-->What's in a word? Some would ask. How much can just one word mean? Can it change your life? Can it heal your wounds? Can it make sense of where you have been? Can one word really achieve all this? Can it really mean more than a touch or a kiss? I would understand if you told me "No"! But it all depends on the seeds we sow. Sometimes a speech of a thouzand words Can come to nought If the story is told With a lack of feeling Of love Of care Then the listener will be left cold But sometimes Just sometimes One word means more Than all the speeches You've heard before Sometimes one word Can warm your heart Can reach your soul And every part Of your body and mind Your senses reel A tingle you feel As true love you find What kind of word Can achieve all this? Can bring you happiness Joy and bliss? Which word indeed! I must confess It's only small That word is YES! (In case it isn't obvious to everyone.....this was written the day my lady agreed to marry me) Love is like the mumps.....the older you are, the harder it hits you!
