I was thinking of the Kosovo crisis when I wrote this....you were a great inspiration..... Palms of sweat and eyes of tears anxieties were met easing our fears taking me gently in your arms guarding me far from harm breathless we struggle unseen and unheard as somewhere a baby cries the fighting will cease at daybreak only then we will try to make our escape barren streets will pave our way more fighting to come we can not stay forced out of our native land we will make our way hand in hand barefoot we'll tread across the miles not even pretending to force a smile children begging I have nothing to give all of us feeding off this will to live and with palms of sweat and eyes of tears we met our anxieties and eased our fears Julie :) |

Julie Ann, an intense read. Challenge well met. Wonderfully written piece. "Beyond all this good is the terror,The grip of a mercenary hand,When savagery turns all good reason, There's no turning back, no last stand,"I.Curtis |

You have taken a simple verse and given it a beautiful home. Your words and your heart have taken the challenge and won for sure. A ribbon of red white and blue with a medallion of gold is now placed around your neck. Well done and I just love where you took this.....now how many more gold medals can you get. |

Julie-Ann Challenge well met. Intense writing and vivid imagery. Be well Kethry. "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
