The days are winding down On my face I wear a frown Thinking of way back when Just how long it's been Since we first met Never would have bet We would end up here After almost fifteen years Finally husband and wife Sharing each other's life Until we drifted apart Each looking for a new start Although I tried my best I have failed this test No more hurt for me I will finally be free This time will be mine Maybe I will shine When I am on my own And the fear has flown Once I have settled in Away from your evil grin My spirit will soar Tears will no longer pour Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

very well written .. tears are a cleansing to our hearts. So often tears share how we really feel though we don't want to show it. It's always strange though how when you cry you feel better. Kinda like rain falling how once it's stopped the sun starts shining as if it were a brand new day. |

I wish you the best and piece of mind when you settle in my friend, sounds like you need some time, but soon the sun will be out  lol , good job.Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer. |

Allo Wolfe, hugz to you for sharing this one with us tonight. I must say each verse of expression brought a tear upon my cheek yet somehow I get a smile cus I know as you put it so... "Spirit will soar and tears will no longer pour". This ending represents a beginning to another work of art from you for all of us to enjoy reading! Coco |
