'is none' what? Shouldn't that be "there isn't any"? Or 'there is none left'?

Don't make me get out my dictionary!!!

Conversation. As in; where is the conversation.

1. There is none.
2. There isn't any.
3. Thar ain't nern.
4. Which dictionary? (hehe)
5. "The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes- and ships- and sealing wax-
Of cabbages- and kings-
And why the sea is boiling hot-
And whether pigs have wings."

The NZ butterfly is here to kick some English...

Well. What can I say to this SLUR...

I was thinking about it yanno - and I really wondered

What do you call a Sir P who can muster enough wit to produce a laugh...?

A miracle

We shall applaud him then

~Loudly applauding Philip~

Personally Sharon, I think names should start with S: (Too many P's around here for comfort)

Severn
Sark Angel
Soertree - of course he has already succumbed by default as Sir P
Srad
Shris
Soet deVine
ShtDove
San
Sunshine
Srometheus
Sjbouder

Of course, the unfortunate side of this is that we would all sound a slight bit sozzled!

'shhhure Soet deVine, shhhhure...Ish from England oncesh ~burp~ but theys all too shilly over thereee...'

Hmmmm....

Sharon ... nope i insist, as an english gentleman, tis i who am flattered ..

Maree this is the English forum .. you are missing a "t" ... heh heh

Jamie ... you are meant to be on my side ..! thought it was funny and certainly true for some regions of this heterogeneous island ..

Lady K ... you don't fool me .. it wasn't alcohol so someone else must have made up that "joke" for you ..   .. and you do so remind me of Mohammed Ali ...

"Floats like a butterfly
Stings like a bee"
Lucky that my fiery friend
is far across the sea!!!

or the uncouth revised version:

"Kicks like a butterfly
Stings like a bee"
Lucky that my fiery friend
is far across the sea!!!

Nancy ... is this all too much for you dear?? ...lol here's a soothing cold towel

Sharon ... wow .. for how long did your presence grace our green and pleasant?

I was in England for 14 glorious days..it took a team of wild horses to drag me out of there. If I could, I would live there. I had hoped to vacation there again this year, but alas it is not to be. I was hoping to see what I missed the last time - we drove around for a week and then spent the last week in London...I loved every minute of it. The country is beautiful and the people are courteous. I've traced my ancestors to Yorkshire so I feel a kinship to you.

London will never be the same... I've got the wild horses contained on an island offshore here at Cape Cod (where your outcast 'pilgrims' were sent) - Just in case she tries to return... They're ready...

..and thanks for the towel Poertree - cooled me right off....

Terrible terrible puns there Philip--lol..(though i must admit to a smattering of snicker at missherantics..)

By the by--- I met a Firefighter from West Sussex earlier this year. He dropped by our fire station and spent a day with us. He gave me a West Sussex shirt and I gave him a toboggin cap--ooops...wooly cap.
edit--and why would anyone want more than one name to keep up with?

Oh and Philip, while reading up on NZ I discovered that they have only been independent from the UK since 1907, and their legal system is still based on english law; so you will have to give them a small break and allow some time for them to grow out of it....lol

Sharon

ok .. you're a Brit ..(at least I think Yorkshire men and women just about qualify as Brit's  ).. i shall remember that when next the combined forces of antipodean and trans-atlantic might array against lil' ol' me .. then shall i expect you to don the armour (yes armour not armor!)and take up the standard with the red lion rampant and fight the good fight for King and Country ...

(oh and btw ... don't worry i'm only partially insane ... lol   as Lady K will testify  )
