Here's an exercise for ya...
These are all jumbled states of the United States... See how many you can unjumble without consulting any source aside from your own brains... and no fair reading the responses on this post before you try it... (Sorry, my friends from abroad - you have permission to seek revenge - and you're the only ones who can cheat).

LOL.  "Rhoad" Island should be "Rhode" Island.  Funny, that same fourth grade year I had a serious crush on a little blondy whose last name was "Rhoads".  I suppose women have always been a distraction for me.

Hehe.... Of course. if you come from there, you pronounce it ro-DI-lin....

And I understand that XAngel would say OR-eh-gun....

Then there's VER-mont....

Any others??

ROFLMAO !! Hey Jim, shouldn't you do epics ?      How about this ?

Groningen
Friesland
Drente
Overijssel
Gelderland
Flevoland
Utecht
Noord-Holland
Zuid-Holland (That's where I live)
Noord-Brabant
Zeeland
Limburg

Those are the 12 Dutch provinces.
Here are the 12 provincial capitals.

Arnhem
Zwolle
Lelystad
Groningen
Den Haag
Haarlem
Leeuwarden
Den Bosch
Utrecht
Middelburg
Maastricht
Assen

Do you know which city belongs to which province ?   If that's too difficult, you may try to pronounce it.

Sorry, Munda.  Americans tend to be a bit ethnocentric.  To be honest with you, before you mentioned it I didn't even know you Dutch had separate provinces.  But isn't Den Haag (translation, The Haag) also the national capital?  If I am right, do I get partial credit?  If it is any consolation, I think "Netherlands" is a really cool name for a country ... much better than the "United States".

Kamla:

Cultural bias ... what do you expect from Americans?    The only guess I am willing to venture is "Mania" in you list.  Besides that I see a couple "New" cities.  Sorry.
