It's the same as calling something moved by vehicle a shipment and that which is transported by ship cargo.

Next we will persue the anti-intuative title of much used operating software - Microsoft Works?

Then there's Onomatopoeia, which means that a word sounds like what it is, i.e. BOOM!, and yet onomatopoeia doesn't sound much like anything at all.
