Have you met the Oxymoron’s? An unlikely pair some say, Sharply dull but foolishly wise, They don’t know the night from the day. Their life is a self-contradiction Incongruous words cruelly kind, Going nowhere fast, with eyes wide shut Pushing forward to stay behind. They live in thunderous silence With their memories bitter sweet, Alone together in organized mess, a passive-aggressive defeat. Clearly they’re misunderstood, By others they happen to greet, Many find them acutely dull and Unpleasantly pleasing to meet. Pretty ugly these two Oxymoron’s, As opposite as can be, yet somehow They manage to make it work, Agreeing to disagree. |
