Puddles reflecting light into the night sky Cool chill of twilight in the air Half stumbling in from one long night It's at these times that things cross your mind Not normal things but the important ones Like was she as good looking as she seamed? Am I as drunk as I feel? Did I really make it home in one piece? Will I remember tomorrow? Sun glare through glass in wall Head pounding from one long night Your way beyond the promise And head straight for the pills You wonder how many more of those you have left Then you see a brand new bottle And hope you're done before they are How many more long nights? |

Excellent writing.....I could feel the hang over. Why do people do this to themselves? One hang over was all it took to cure me! Very good, Gurion! Denise |

This is a good poem...though I've never had a hangover 'cause I don't drink.... |
