I look at you and see my eyes shadowed by a different self. I hear your voice, so like my own. You're smile's the truest wealth. My eyes, my voice, my smile, have lost their faith to countless crimes. To turn my gaze towards your faith remembers betrayals of distant times. My friend, with words of endless hope, an optimistic angel of truth. You have touched my soul, at least a bit, and have so rescued my captured youth. ~CH~ The obvious love and deep understanding you share with this special person, was captured so elegantly in this piece. I really loved the part of the poem that reads "I hear your voice so like my own....your smile's the truthest wealth" Isn't it amazing that the human smile can touch the heart so! Aimster, Thank you. Loving and trusting can be so hard at times. It takes this kind of love to break through. Janet Marie...So sweet of you!!! I am glad you liked it (And I am hoping it is not too "sad") Grant that I may not judge my niegbor until I have walked a mile in his moccasians Native American prayer |
