Are you still my Valentine The better part of twenty years I’ve lived within your smile With fast approaching Golden years I’ve loved you all the while I used to wine and dine you then dance the night away It’s McDonalds now and curly fries that brightens up our day We used to kick our shoes off while walking on the beach Now we’re dragged around the the block our dog just hates the leash Remember when we’d watch the clouds until the stars arrived Then twinkle twinkle make a wish ‘twas good to be alive Three kids a dog and a grandson too lets not forget our pills You’re getting gray I’m almost bald and we’ve got a lot of bills But always when I gaze at you I see my Valentine Because long ago upon that star my wish “please make her mine” |

Wow, this poem is so sweet and heartfelt. Whoever you are giving this to has to be someone very special. There is something special to be said about growing old with someone. Well done. I am not a poet, I am merely one who speaks in emotion |

Thankyou everyone ... I married this Valentine 19 years ago and I sent her this as an e-card ... the kids called her to see 'her' e-mail ... she's been nice to me all evening ... maybe I should write to her more often! Rex |

This was so very sweet! What a loving relationship, even though those bills pile and things are not as they were, sounds like love to me! Very touching! <*\\\>< When you can't make up your mind Which way is right for you, Stop and softly ask yourself, What Would Jesus Do? |

Oh so sweet, but I must say, sometimes things change like you have stated, but that doesnt mean its bad, lives get busy, plans get changed, but it always still seems worth it, doesnt it? Im sure she is and always will 'still be your valentine' Especially after this beautiful poem! Did Jesus laugh? I think He did, 'cause He was once a little kid; and all of us were made with joy both sugar-spice girl and snake-snail boy! |

You indeed are blessed, I can't wait for Mike and I to be celebrating 20 instead of #1...but I am excited, because 2-14-00 is the end of our first year and I look to the future with hope and joy. Beautiful sweet words! |

This is my 20th Valentine's Day with my husband, and I know the times you talk of, those days full of little minutes. So nice that love remains. Lovely poem. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |

Isn't life grant Such lovely poem you done I guess it's time for you to take your eyes of the stars and look at her, I see she wants to kiss yah Nice poem , realy nice The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Rex, this was a delightful read..as someone said, a definite Hallmark moment. I was married 20 years before my divorce 3 years ago and I can totally relate to all you said, all you shared, and how times change but the love remains. Congratulations on seeing your dream and your commitment through, she is a lucky lady |
