Tough Luck ~~~ The power walkers every day and joggers out at dawn The only sight they seem to see is the dog crap on the lawn ~ There's a blind man on the corner his song's a lonesome sight It's hard to lend a helping hand when they break the speed of light ~ As I stopped and listened sadly a girl walked down the street And her short skirt kept on lifting high as the wind swept at her feet ~ Her legs were long and shapely winds gust from passing trucks His head held high but his hand was shaky as I slipped him a couple bucks ~ She passed us by and disappeared with procession what a sight The power walkers on her left and joggers on her right ~~~ I'm not ugly! I'm just visually challenged! [This message has been edited by Rex Allen McCoy (edited 02-24-2000).] |

Rex Allen, Rex Allen, pure prose from your 'keys'!!! what a picture you've painted. not without a hint of discontent. Hope all is well with you. As always, serenity, is silently reading...and cheering you on! |

I see them as I'm driving into work in the morning...they travel in packs like wild dogs! With stupid hats and strips of reflective tape on their shoes.....I've tried hitting them with my car, but they can out run me!! Cute poem!!!! |

A fun, yet melancholy poem. But much more fun than that. Yes, I'm losing the ability to express myself tonight. I think it's best I go. Mike |
