The Future? By: Amy M. Kennedy A million times a day, I ask what does the future have in store for me? Just when I think I have the answer, I realize I'm still unclear you see I have always felt I had a purpose on this Earth Firm believer in we all have special plans, that start right from birth Life is full of twists and turns, bends in the street And just when I think maybe I got it right, I still feel like I've got two left feet My desire is to help people, what being a social worker is all about, to help in any way I can If a friend needs me, I am the first to reach out a helping hand But my wanting to help people applies to strangers too, people I don't even know I want a husband to spend my life with, to watch my children grow I am told that I am young, and I have so much time, but is that really true? I don't know how much time I have, do you? People say be patient, good things come to those who wait But I am just afraid, that my chance to do God's plan might be a little too late Still I am hopeful, and close my eyes and pray Waiting for an answer from up above, perhaps today will be the day Once again I ask myself, what does my future have in store for me? As another day goes by, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

God does things in His time, not ours. So yes, wait and He shall lead. Good luck! Welcome to Passions! <*\\\>< There's only two ways you can go... One way you can save your riches, And the other will save your soul. Rich Mullins |
