The moonbeams create a halo in your hair, softening your features- making me stop and stare. The stars shone bright in the cool night sky a hue of Yankee blue was the color of your eyes. The reflection off the water of a shimmering still pond paints the precious picture- as if created by magic wand. The sweet summer breeze guides the little lightning bugs- The perfect illumination of the man I love. Written 2/16/2000. Dedicated to my love, Richard, for our 5th month anniversary :Þ "Some people aren't worth a puddle of ant pee in the middle of a dessert when it's 100 degrees in the shade." -me |
