Path of life I wake each morn’ and walk my life, And hope my path don’t lead to strife, The decisions which I choose to make Affect my mood and the path I take I wake each morn’, take dog for walk, And hear people moan as they talk People look at me as I pass them by I stare right back and wonder why? And then one day as I walked my life I met my daughter, son and wife I saw the house where I would live The wedding ring that I would give I continue on and walk life some more Another day, another door, My children grow and leave their home And all the safety they have known Then as they grow, they bring to me, A grandson to bounce upon my knee The feeling of walking this life through time Makes me say “Thank you” for this life of mine ~~STEVE~~ January 2000 |

We are so blest in our lives, we just need to be able to see that. Nice work. |

Steve~ This is lovely and nostalgic. I think your reflections mirror the thoughts of many of us. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I love those kinds of walks. We take those when we look through the photo albums. Well done Liz |
