She seemed so bright amidst the dark That the stars burned with envy The sky opened up to swallow her whole And the clouds fell to the sea I was pretending that the sun still shone And illuminated the bluest of skies Until one day I looked up unawares And beheld those same knowing eyes Transfixed, she held me for a time That seemed to last forever With the sweetest of smiles, Her eyes seemed to say, “Never" |

this poem is perfect!! so full of imagery and well expressed emotions...it has a mystic quality about it, that i liked. great work.. take care, janet marie I love you Is all that you can't say- Years gone by and still...
