Love me softly with thy words, oh gentle poet mine; < !signature-->Let thy tenderness be heard in rhythm and in rhyme. Let the piquant phrases flow from thine adoring pen, And never shall a moment go but love renews again. Love me only, and in truth, and I shall never stray: Let thy verse provide the proof that none might say me nay. Let thy words as flowers bloom so beauteous and fair, That none who read may then presume thy faith is less than rare. Love me fervently and fierce, let ev'ry breath be me -- Let the fateful arrow pierce thy heart unerringly. Be the Partner and the Prince, play each and ev'ry part, Let each soliloquy evince the keeping of my heart. Love me, poet – only this – and each devoted beat That moves my heart shall only miss thine own to be complete; And only for thy favor, then, should heart or soul be stirred, If thou would but take up thy pen, and love me with thy words! Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest [This message has been edited by Skyfyre (edited 02-21-2000).] |

Sigh - BIG LONG SIGH!!! There's no adequate words to compliment the beauty and passion in this piece, Kess. Melted my emotions. I simply say, Bravo. Michael |

Touch me softly with thine words, O' poetess divine, Caress me gently with thine songs, forever I am thine, Thou odes to me, love's harmonies, from welkin sky above, Creating perfect symphony, of our unending love. Let me feel thy passion's course, within mine mortal soul, Enraptured by thou goddess charms, mine heart doth lose control, As I soar beyond the clouds, beyond this earthly realm, I seek, I find, eternal love, in words thee overwhelm. You do have a way with words Skyfyre. Beautiful poetry. |

Standing in the awe of your writing once again, Leaves with me a welcomed, musically-drenched rhythm. Your words birth senses which mold and inspire- "OH- look! Another by our own Skyfyre". Thanks for the wonderful read! |

Kess, have you been reading my mind? This is absolutely wonderful!! It's almost Shakesperean in its timelessness. . .and the line, "Love me, poet-only this-and each devoted beat that moves my heart shall only miss thine own to be complete. . . " I love that. . . You have to tell me what you've been doing to come up with these wonderfully romantic poems!! --------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

I am not worthy. You rule. *S* My wife tells me the opposite though when I give her my poems. She would rather be loved by my actions. But poetry is so hard to live up to, you know? |

Kess...this is just breathtaking. It does my heart good to see someone in love - just keep your feet on the ground when your prince is wooing you with words! It is hard to live up to poetry...as someone above me just said. There is no harsher truth. Good luck with your man! Is it who I think it is? hehe |

Beautiful, simply beautiful Kess Such ease such flow Wow The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Action -vs- words... I must say that I once again side with you in this Kess... To me, the most important part of a person resides in the mind. Maybe I'm not as imaginative as some, but I find it much better to express the feelings inside through the endless expanse of language rather than the somewhat limited range of actions. Your poem here eloquently expresses this and leaves the reader yearning to write "...words as flowers bloom so beauteous and fair..." I know it did so with me. You've written here much as I've felt before... perhaps someday I can find that poetess which will write verse, professing her love in amanner no action could ever describe! A triumph here my friend. -*Hope the dream. ---*Wish the future. ------*Live the now. |

Skyfyre~ Absolutely brilliant. You move me with your very thoughts. Passion resides in your poetic pen. Again and again and again ... I like. ~*Marge*~ *Mike~ Wonderfully written response. Oh, to be inspired by the words of another ..... lovely. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
