Alone Beside Himself The slender shadows cast upon sunbaked pavement a silhouette of a man alone beside himself. His stride graciously slow arms swinging harmoniously lips whistling a rhythmic tune. I watched from concrete stairs wondering what brings happiness floating freely through a man alone beside himself. |

Gloria, what a wonderful poem ! I always like to "watch" people and wonder why they behave as they do. This describes they very well. Glad you posted it to share. |

Munda: Thank You, years ago we used to have this guy who would come whistling up the street and say hi, he was just so happy, and I was reminising and this came from it. |

I often wonder about other people and their lives beyond my sight...I love this! Freedom of expression is the watch word... |

Gloria, discovering why that man is happening is discovering the true nature of life. Happiness does indeed come from within. |
