I am a child Loved by all; Scared and shy of life; Bursting with new knowledge; Longing to be a woman. I am a teenager Infatuated with myself; Exploring life; Experiencing new loves; Longing to be a woman. I am a woman Caring for no one; Dealing with harshness; Turned bitter and frigid; Longing to be a child. **A poem from my archives** -sonjes |

This poem is so true, we always want the other that we're not. Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed it. |

I enjoyed your perspective here. There are those moments, I think, when every woman wants again to be a child, free to play and pretend, to be protected and cared for, nurtured and cherished just for being who she is. I believe it comes from our knowing, as women, how to do these things for others, and understanding what a safe and glorious feeling that type of care can evoke. Wonderful poem, thank you! Claire |
