His long white jacket with his clean cut style "there is nothing more we can do" he spoke for awhile. My mind drifted with the chill in the air numb and wounded no sign of emotion or care. My body, my mind, never at ease this virus that is growing has taken its toll on me. Do I tell my loved ones that my time is few see that look in their eyes knowing that our dreams will never come true. I am not a writer or an open book hiding my life from the ones I hold dear unloading all my emotions for stargers to hear. |

Hard to respond to this poem, Compgirl. If this is real life, then I grieve with you. I find that talking about problems...even to strangers can help ease the burdon I carry. I truely hope all is well with you. INclan |

It was 3:00am and I couldn't sleep. I know this is a sad and not well composed poem. I was diagnosed with cancer a year and a half ago and this was my story after an appointment the other day. I needed to unload my bottled up feeling and this seemed to be the way that I did it. Don't shed a tear, just an understanding smile. |

If I may be so bold Dear Compgirl....I too have a friend who would pay me tributes not unlike your own {undeserved in my case I believe} . I have read both your postings and just wished to make sure you share both with him. Being a friend he will want nothing more than to be there to help you through. God bless you. |

I'm so sorry...and I agree with INclan...it's hard to know what to say... "wonderful poem" seems so inadequate when the content is so tragic... but this is a wonderful poem...I can only hope for the best for you...You are in my prayers... Freedom of expression is the watch word... |
