The Things I Never Said A tormented heart never revealed Tears of pain in hidden eyes A challenged soul masquerades what it conceals In fancy costumes, there the truth lies With wine upon lips, the erotic pleasures to hold Selfish sins of a gold band Darkness whispers scandals untold Love set free to the one who holds the left hand I say now what I never said A friend in me no better will you find Should you stray from the path you are lead Come to me if only in my mind And let me say the things I never said Marina Feb 13/2000 |
