This was written for my Mom and my best friend, Roberta. *MY FAITHFUL FRIEND* My friend is not perfect, nor am I. We'll spread our wings and together we'll fly. We'll soar through the meadows, and up through the trees. We'll fly together, on a cool summer breeze. We'll climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest sea. Together, my faithful friend and me. Beautiful. That's all I can say. I only hope that somewhere, sometime, I should find a friend as faithful to me... Chris Never be a carbon copy of anybody...make your own impressions. - ANON. |

Thankyou Wizzard and CMGrimm, yes I am very close to my Mom, I realize now what she has done for me, so I had to write this for her especially. Thanks for taking the time to read my poem. Take care, Melissa Honeybee |

Melissa, I never was given the chance by my mother to have this kind of relationship, but I think as she gets older she might realize that her kids need her as much as she needs us. I have to say though I do have a friendship like you write about with my mother inlaw I love her very much, thank you for your beautiful poem. Cerenity-1 |
