"Not" I have no idea the reasons why And all I do is sit and cry For so long my friend was here Deeded trust his strong shoulders bare Did he in return, not find it there? Could it be I took for granted This one with winded wings Who flew into my life And bought to me the finer things? Now my mind has twisted in tangle Was there something I did wrong that caused friendship to mangle? I always thought this was so, a friendship that could only grow For all of time he's in my heart, for there he own's a special part Its not his nature to stay away With out a reason for his delay Please God, give some kind of clue On what it is we're going through Even if the skies look gray, let his words come pouring out my way I ask of You to take my hand And help me Reach to the soul of this man Help with answers in his darken plight I'm here for him . And ALL is Right Give me a turn to lend an ear All that echo's I will hear I beg you Lord to take control Ease the pain within our soul's And if he's out there listening in Please let him know that "I need him!" And if it is, our way's must part Forever he shall hold my heart But never will I comprehend Life with out my dearest friend Tori 2000 If with pen in hand I've made you think I've not wasted one drop of ink Vlh. visit my site~ http://www.hsanet.net/user/dkm/hellomy.htm |

Tori~ with tears running down my face, "But never will I comprehend Life without my dearest friend" echos through my heart. After this morning I now read this and hurt all over again. I keep trying to choke it back. My New year's resolution was to stop writting him and his wife and hope to hear from them. I am weak I guess. I hate feeling like I'm begging for friendship. I love your poem.-SEA |

Sometimes those closest to us think they'll hurt us more by telling us their feelings than not... Not so - dealing with truth is far better than dealing with the unknown... Well put, my friend.. |

Tori~ This is hauntingly sad. Hopefully he will surface to let you know where he stands. No friendship is worth forgetting for sure. *HUGS* to you. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Tori, what a poem you created It certainly made my eyes wet I hope that your friend is still there Never knowing if a poem is based on true events, current or past, makes it difficult not to run over to you and to hug you real bad. HUGS The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
