Angry Words Angry words are lightly spoken in a rash and thoughtless hour Brightest links of life are broken by their full and sidious power Hearts inspired by warmest feeling Ne're before by anger stirred Oft are rent past human feeling by a single angry word Poison drops of care and sorrow bitter poison drops are they Weaving for the coming morrow Saddest memories of today Angry words oh let them never From the tounge unguarded slip May the hearts best impulse ever Check them ere they pass the lip My favoite all time piece Unknown Author Rex}<{{{{o> I'm not ugly! Rex, Wise word`s indeed. Angry word`s are so often spoken without giving any thought to what effect they might have on the one`s that they`re directed at. This is one that could be my favorite as well. Thank you for sharing this Rex < !signature--> Today is the first day of the rest of my life. And the begining of a new one. Rex thanks for reminding me. I've been down that road and yes once an angry word is spoken it can never be retracted. |

Your poem portrays words to live by, the easy slips will send one sailing out of control, just praying they can reverse the course. |

Excellent poem Rex. I can see why it is your favorite poem. Wise words and ones we should heed. |

This one touches a place in me where once I was a target for such words. So important is it to edit what wants to spew from our lips! "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me." Yea - right! The most pain I've ever felt was a result of misdirected harshness. I like this one too, REX! |
