Blame this Down sky The sky is dripping and I listen as if it held the secret key that lets joy in or locks it out. This down sky feels like something that has crept out from a corner with tactless thud and blunder, that does not belong in my soaring. I know the feathered lightness that was sun’s transparent splendor just yesterday in bejeweled longing when sweet bliss dwelt with me and my heart fluttered with scented magnolia zephyr. See me melt in this dark sky and rain pieces of salty feeling. It is the wet that ceases fluttering and drowns this crisp heart sound in muffled treachery. Clear me into blue for my heart cries with missing and time won’t wait for wisdom that tears write. [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 02-16-2000).] |

"It is the wet that ceases fluttering and drowns this crisp heart sound in muffled treachery." I love how you give nature so much presence in your work, Martie. This one's a treasure. Claire |
