Chasing A Thought ~*Marge Tindal*~ I chased a thought around the room. I couldn't even catch it. If it should happen to come your way, please try hard to fetch it. Elusive little thing, gone as quickly as it came. I'll never have another that has the same refrain. That rascal little thought, no longer with me does dwell. I hope it found it's way adding color to your inkwell. It was such a lovely thought that fell from my lips at morn. Perhaps from within your inkwell a new poem will be born. If perchance you should find it running 'round in your mind, put it quickly on the page so it can't escape a rhyme. Should you find that you can't use it, tell it to come home. I'm just so sure it was a thought that nevermore should roam. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Oh, those thoughts that run away I've had so many I can't even say one minute their there the next all gone running around the streets from dusk to dawn. Where do they go, who do they see, how many others do they inspire besides me. That writing pad is needed within hand so that the thoughts have a place to land before they happen to glimse the door leaving us to ponder the thought we long for. Excellent poem, been there, done that so many times. |

I have found that sometimes it's better not to chase "a thought". Instead, I sit quietly in a dark room with eyes closed, and that little rascal gently settles in the forefront of my mind, along with its own rhyme. Enjoyed your poem! DH |

LostDreamer~ GREAT RESPONSE ! I don't lose many ... but even one would be a loss indeed. Danny~ I'm glad you like it. I usually lasso mine into a song and then sing it all day ... until I get the chance to pen it. But, sometimes ..... one little thought slips out a side-door when I'm not looking and then I do 'relax' it back. Thanks for liking. Devina~ I wish I may ... I wish I might. Thanks little one. liked this....I know just what you mean...and lol loved lost dreamers response...if would be nice though....if all the writers word a writing pad round their neck....you would know another thought catcher at a glance |

Oh, what had little Margie wrought? Could it have been a little thought? The glimmer of some new refrain That nestled somewhere in her brain? Some mustard seed of melancholy, tiny spark of foolish folly, Poised to brightly germinate Into something truly great? And then, in blinking of an eye, It saw its chance and bade goodbye Then hit the road and headed south To where I caught it in my mouth And held it gently in my cheeks, Suckled it for many weeks Then swallowed it and let it spread Within my body, toe to head, So it's not lost, dear Margie. See? Your thought is deep inside of me. |

There are so many thoughts I cannot hold on to Because my head always spinns when I read a poem made by you One thought that crossed my mind today was the one I cannot say Because I also did forget So how can I say what I haven't said Your poem did trigger on thought dear Marge But this went just there through that arch Now I left with only one I love your poem....so now I'm done The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Helmut~ If any thought of yours comes my way, I will keep it until YOU COME AND GET IT ! You are just some-kind-of-WONDERFUL ! SEA~ My flutter ALL day and ALL night ! Actually, I love it when they come at night. I just get up and write them all no matter how long it takes. I'm not worried about them gathering ... but am sure one or two escape before I can pen 'em. Marge, your thought chasing ability elludes me. Me, I have to chase, lasso, pummel, and any other means of force to reconcile holding onto my thoughts and get them to come out as well as you do. |

LOST: MY THOUGHT Pretty little thing with lots of gentle blessings and hidden meanings. Sometimes sharp witted and often a little agressive. Hard to describe because I really never got a good look at it. If you should find MY THOUGHT please put it in a safe place for me to retrieve it. If that isn't possible, (sometimes it likes to try to remain free.) Please give it a good home and put it to good use.
