How dare I have let it happen. That I could've let you in. And allowed myself to feel again. How dare I have listened that you wished I'd succeeded. And no matter, the harder I tried, I let myself succumb to feel needed. How dare I have looked into the mirror of your eyes and perceive this plain person could be beautiful inside. I dare I let you make me feel I could soar. When now my wings feel clipped and I can fly no more. How dare I feel the guilt. To pay the price of love lost and mourn the love that on faith was built. How dare I feel sadness now that you're gone. I didn't earn it, you didn't give it. Let me get past sadness as the prize I have won. How dare I make you the burden for me to be happy. When all it took was losing you. And me to be responsible for me. |

First of all I have to say is...are you Gemini?? So am I. My B-day is June 15th. Anyways about the poem....it was really nice. If I was talking I would say that with deep passion.  |

*waving hands* I'm a gemini too...  )I think we have all felt that way at one time or another... How dare I make you the burden for me to be happy. When all it took was losing you. And me to be responsible for me. this stanza says it all...Wonderful poem! Freedom of expression is the watch word... |

"I dare I let you make me feel I could soar. When now my wings feel clipped and I can fly no more." This stanza grabbed my heart. Good stuff. |
