Sometimes we all need something to hold on to The kind of love we want to belong to You're that energy that keeps me going It's your smile that has mine glowing You're my light when darkness swallows the sun The air I breathe when pain chokes me and I can't run The dream I live in when my life is gray The sweet promises I believe in from the words you say So if I wouldn't wake to see tomorrow Don't drown in the waters of deep black sorrows Because these words I want you to keep close to your heart Whether its time that separates us or be death do us part... Since the moment I gazed into your eyes God cleansed me of dread, hate, and lies For you were the closest to perfect anyone could come And without you beside me my heart becomes numb So my angel let it be from here on out I will live only for you without a doubt If our love fate must defy And I find myself without you I'll look into the sky I'll see your deep eyes in the heart of twilight Shining sweetly as day turns to night I'll feel your soft caress as the wind blows through the trees Our one last kiss would dance in the breeze I'd hear your laughter with the gentle river flow Your voice so full of tenderness it never let me go Then the angels would light the first star As if to say our love is close though we're far Then in the sun I'd see your smile So full of love and mischief like a child's And as you fade with the sun going fast You are what I hold on to and I'll make our love last How the night is so near But I no longer have the fear Because you are that light when darkness swallows the sun You truly are my only one |

This is a wonderful poem of devotion, Twilight Angel...I especially love the line~ "Because you are that light when darkness swallows the sun" Well expressed, keep writing! |
