I have dreamed of flight for as long as I can remember... the days would grow cloudy and dark but I I was up above soon to put wind to this dream of mine, so I was ok for now for tomorrow I had my dream it was mine, no one could take it away. but my feathers have grown weary of waiting, and my wings wonder now if they have waited ready all this time for nothing. will this trepidation get the very best of me I wish, oh how I wish, for a shoulder but I can't be off balance if I am to find the wind face the wind it will be it must be with lifted chin and open eyes and not out of anger, and not because of hate and the need to run and hide, but because I want to fly... Fly, but do not fly to high For that the good perhaps is right down here Well done such nice poem The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Fly and fly high...but be careful son, the clouds are not but tiny droplets of water and aren't much so far as to catch a human soul from falling. But nonetheless, keep and eye to the sky and both feet on the ground and when your time comes you will soar among the clouds with the eagles. Very nice poem. cmg |

You express your thoughts beautifully, corazon. Many of us use our imaginations to fly even when our feet are mired down in the concrete of reality. Oh, and where do you find the wind? Stand behind Toerag after a Burrito Supreme!! [This message has been edited by Balladeer (edited 02-14-2000).] |

Corazon, you're soaring, indeed, upon the gentle winds of poetic flight. Loved this poem! |

Another beautiful work, Corazon! It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

I swear, do you format these poems like this on purpose? That one about water before was like a waterfall. Now this one, about the undulating waves of doubt, and the final flapping of wings, mimicks the shape of the poem. Arrrgh! Stop with the hidden talents already! Great poem. Mike |
