Silence and Darkness

Silence and darkness
they are such familiar friends
they come to my side
each time that love ends

Silence and darkness
they do not speak nor do they show
the sounds and the light
in your face that I know

Silence and darkness
they fill me with grief
for only in your heart
did I find my relief

Silence and darkness
they stay much too long
against thier evil message
I know I must be strong

Silence and darkness
they control me for now
but I know in the future
I will rid them somehow

Silence and darkness
they may also be with you
but for you there’s a remedy
my love strong and true

Silence and darkness
still occupy the scene
they make us both seem
so hateful and mean

Yet Silence and darkness
I will fight till the end
for your love and my love
till death I’ll defend
