It’s April and Spring is in the air
But something is amiss
something doesn’t just quite fit
I wonder, could it be this

While nature brings new life forth
and the sun it warms the heart
I can not seem to find the words
to end this being apart

While plants and flowers begin to grow
and buds begin to sprout
I pray to God and ask to know
what this is all about

Why have I lost the only one
that gave my life such glee
Why is the heart that is my sun
now closed and taken from me

I know the blame is mine to keep
to accept and understand
but can I forge a hill so steep
without your helping hand

though you have pulled away from me
and given your heart away
I beg your forgiveness and plead to you
just to hear me say

While others may fulfill your needs
and ease your caring soul
you hold within your very hand
a passion to unfold

for if you were to take the risk
and give me one last chance
our love would live forever
and forever we would dance

Nice writing BlindMan.  Real good job with the rhyme.

Touching with feelings deep.  Well written.
And, of course, the nurturing nature,
that I have been blessed (or is it cursed)
wants to hug you and tell you all this
kind of pain does pass.
