I remember wasted times.
Wasted you and wasted me.
I remember the way the wind
blew echoing the chimes,
as I fell down on one knee.
I still feel love is lost,
and we haven’t been back since,
to this place of heavenly wind.
For all this wonder, a trivial cost,
nothing much more than my mere innocence.
A cycle of life, evolving, it all still goes on.
It’s strange how we strive, strange how we dive,
right off the cliffs into the sky, daring the wind.
Underestimating the power, if only we had known,
our connection, that spark might still be alive.
It has all been said and done, I guess.
You’ve gotten yours, and now I’ve got time.
Anything that might have been left, tossed to the wind.
No remains, nothing left, not the slightest mess.
All the memories, just echoes wind blowing through a chime.

I really enjoyed "Tossed to the Wind", especially the line "You've gotten yours, and now I've got time". The reader expects the line "and now I've got MINE". By switching around this cliche you effectively draw the reader in closer. Very nice.
