-- A Skydiver's Affiar -- (4-15-2000) I'd love to fly, and kiss the sky, without this comfy chair It's so much more, when out the door, than the feeling of the air I'll fall too fast, for you to grasp, but your cheating winds will know I'll watch you stare, as through my hair, your gasping breath will blow Then rushing back, you'll see our past, that warm summer breeze With bees they've danced, with leaves romanced, with me they only tease I've seen them fly, with grace and style, they need not fight to stay Alone with you I dream, and still you scream, there 'll never come a day Your clouds will paw, through them I'll fall, your grasp I can escape Your planes may climb, your birds may mind, but me you can't embrace I'll linger down, until her ground, oh how she welcomes me The thrill is better, you may have met'er, her name is gravity --Dave "The storm rises up when the shadows descend every beat of my heart every day without end I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break till theres no more to give if thats what it takes I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed I will lay down my life if thats what you need every second I live thats the promise I make" I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =) |

I think I stick to my fantasy of a hotair balloon ride.  great poem..loved the flow...read smooooth as butter*smile* later, jan-gator Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... Marge - Thanks.. I liked the ending myself.. the line before the last was hard to put together though... I think I could have done better. =) Pepper - Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Hey boy! Whew...I got a little nervous there at first, you know, with all we've talked about, and all...I thought you were gonna tack MY name on the end of this! I'd like to tack your name on the end, but it just wouldn't have had the same effect... =) But then if you're promising a visit maybe I should go edit it. =) J/K You can catch me anytime, but I'd much prefer when I fall... when I jump I usually have control over my landings. =) You're mail box is empty?
