Here I often do sit and think, Pushing my mind past the brink. Maybe my mind has snapped, Or my head I did truly crack. Our lives are much to short, To spend locked up in a fort. It should be love and laughter, From now and forever after. I think that you should know, There's nowhere I wouldn't go. Nothing I would not do, Just to prove my love to you. I would claim for you an ocean, Just to sit and watch it's motion. I would reach up and capture a star, It really can't be all that far. I would give you every cloud, If it would make you proud. Every fish and every plant, I don't know the meaning of "I can't" Each and every tree, That you or I can see. I shall get them, not for me, Just so I can give them all to thee. Every breath that I take, Only so that I can make You see me standing here, I've always been so near. I don't want to sleep, If it means I can't keep. My thoughts always on you, Until the night is through. It's fantasy. But if it contains a piece of me doesn't that make it as real as I am? |
