Can you love at first sight?

Is it possible to love
At first sight or even first meet?
To accomplish either of these
I believe is quite a feat.

You can like what you see
But it can't yet be love.
Your likes can fly away
Just like a little dove.

To like is a feeling that
Involves mere sight.
To love is to know and
Trust with all your might.

True love has to grow
Over the endless weeks.
If it is love at all
That one does seek.

True love has to endure
Through mant test and trial.
But if endured to the end
Can come out with a smile.

If you never give up
And in trials never stay caught
Then, finally, you've found
That true love you sought.

This is a great poem. FreeSoul, and has
lots to think about, but my friend, I don't agree that there isn't any such thing
as love at first sight. ---)
Of course, I believe in santa claus, the
toothfairy, the easter bunny, magical
elves - and also in miracles.
